City Center -- Las Vegas, NV
One of the largest single projects constructed in the United States, the City Center dominates the Las Vegas Strip and skyline. The project covers over 40 acres and as seen in the photos is more than complex. Belowgrade waterproofing, fluid-applied waterproofing, cementitious waterproofing, single ply roofing are just a few of the systems used. The Theater, Pool decks, Convention Center, Casino, Hotel and Residences are all protected by these different designs and installations.
HKS Architects out of Dallas, TX provided the design for the project, while Tishman was the Construction Management for the MGM Corporation. This project is in the final stages of completion awaiting the December Grand Opening. D 7 provided Design service to HKS and Construction Administration during construction. The look on my face is “How are they ever going to build this place?”
